  • The Big Beaulieu Christmas 2022

Event Date: Sunday 4th December 10am-3pm

Once again, the Beaulieu Community Centre is playing host to The Big Beaulieu Christmas on Sunday 4th December.

Santa will be in his grotto, supported by the Chelmsford Mildmay Rotary Club, and will be handing out presents with the Children of Beaulieu.  This is again available via booked time slots and is free to residents of Beaulieu Estate Management.  Many of you have emailed in and we just want to remind people to check their junk emails and to chase if you have not received a reply back from us. We do still have a limited number of spaces left so if you want to book a slot and havent got round to it yet, please email us at beaulieuevents@thelandtrust.org.uk.

The Mini Market Beaulieu will also be there, bigger than ever with plenty of festive stalls and a great opportunity to get some Christmas presents for all the family!

We are also delighted that L&Q have sponsored some Nature weaving which will be freely available for all to attend in the Channels room upstairs.

We would also like to thank Beaulieu Community Trust for helping to support the event by providing reduced room hire, which allows us all to put on these fantastic events on for the community.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday!

  • Beaulieu Community Garden Open Day 2022 Huge success!

On Saturday 17th September, we were pleased to invite over 200 residents to join us in the Community Gardens for free activities, refreshments and a chance to have their say on what the gardens could look like.  In partnership with Trustlinks, a local charity who run a number of community gardens in South Essex, they were collecting ideas that residents would like to see in the garden and getting them to vote on their favourite idea using some so photos.  Each resident was given a number of votes to stick on their favourite idea and there were two runaway winners in the form of some inventive looking seating and a raised pond.  Residents were also able to register their email address to be kept up to date on the project or interested in volunteering once the garden has been designed and installed.

We were also joined by Now Strike Archery who provided axe throwing, which was hugely popular seeing many friendly competitions amongst family members (and work colleagues).  Circus Allstars also put on a variety of tricks and circus equipment for residents to have ago including a slack line, diablos and hula-hoops.  Again, another busy activity that saw all the family getting involved and learning new tricks.

Heart and Sole were also in attendance promoting their health walk which takes place at Beaulieu every Friday at 10:30 from Beaulieu square.

Lastly, residents were treated to some free refreshments from Coffee Squared with cake from this local coffee shop always going down a treat.

We are so pleased with the positive responses received from the local community and are looking forward to running similar events in the future to bring all residents of Beaulieu closer together.

  • Bridge Move 24th & 25th September

This weekend Countryside will be looking to move the bridge over the A12 and we have asked if there is any information if residents wish to view the move.

Below is some information if you wish to view the bridge being moved:

“We are planning to commence this weekend, the first move of the RDR3 Bridge over the Great Eastern railway line and the A12 Northbound slip road, onto the temporary trestles.

The bridge will be moved into place by remote controlled Self Propelled Modular Transporters (SMPT’s), which in itself is some engineering feat!!!

This bridge install has created a lot of interest from various parties and therefore we have setup a managed viewing platform for people to attend and observe the site operations.

If you were planning or would like to attend this event, your more than welcome to have access to our viewing platform. However before you do this, we would require you to sign in at the Countryside Strategic Compound and be escorted to the area.

    Below is a link to the locations of the viewing platform and the Countryside Strategic Compound;
